I’m at a week-long training course, discussing the evolution of publishing particularly on the Web. Great stuff, with a variety of speakers and fellow attendees from Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland and other foreign nations such as California. [Ha.] Sessions run into the evening and then we’re all working in teams on a case study.
At the same time, USATE is coming up this weekend – the largest team chess tournament in the U.S. It’s the highlight of the chess calendar and in the interest of playing well, I need to prepare by studying opening variations, endgame transitions and more. Much more.
So this is an interesting time for demonstrating how much information a 40 year old can (or can not) process in a week.
