Dispatch war rocket Ajax to bring back his body!

flash_gordonI just felt like saying that.

Back when the movie (Flash Gordon) came out, I was too young to see that they were trying to channel this cheesey-heroic comic book quality. I just thought it was a lame movie.

Now I wouldn’t actually sit down and watch the whole thing, but I put it on in the background last night and found it vastly amusing. Another good quote is “I love you, Flash, but we only have 24 hours to save the Earth!”

  1. I still watch this movie occasionally – and the wife wants nothing to do with it. Great soundtrack.

“Klytus, I’m BORED”. Great quote to start off an even greater album by the Kleptones.

  2. Hey that movie is not that bad! I have seen way worse. The best amusing thing about “Dispatch war rocket Ajax to bring back his body!” is the accent…

  3. Pathetic earthlings. Hurling your bodies out into the void, without the slightest inkling of who or what is out here……

  4. As I read there is a new open source Flash player out, called “Gordon”, “Flash without player”. So I had to google for the Ajax thingy and ended up here. :-)

Not to spam, google for the player yourself if interested.

  5. As you said, is not a B movie, is an misundestood movie. They tried to capture the heroics of an era when there was still innoncence in the world althou it was diying at the hands of the spoils of the WWI.

As Pink Floyd put it “a Time of Magnets and Miracles”.

When the heroes where exactly that. Pure at heart. Without a dark side or rearrengement.

Whe a girl expected to be saved. … Read the comic and have a blast! :)
