Will Shortz is kicking my butt

Lulled into a false sense of competency by a bathroom Sudoku book, I purchased Will Shortz Presents Ferocious Sudoku in an airport bookstore.

I don’t seem to be up to the task.

The fact that a crossword puzzle editor has turned himself into a pop culture celebrity gives one some faint and rather odd hope for America.

  2. Nonconformists miss out on so much fun :)

Last week it became clear that I should have read The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People – it might have saved me a lot of grief in the past few years. Oh well, I’m only late by about two decades…

  3. I keep meaning to read “The Procrastinator’s Handbook” but never seem to get around to it…
