Thumbs up

You might think of Roger Ebert as a movie critic from television. He and Gene Siskel popularized the simple thumbs up/thumbs down review format.

Of course he didn’t start in TV. He’s been doing written reviews for a Chicago newspaper since the year I was born.

You may also not be aware that he’s been sick (thyroid cancer) and is incapacitated in certain regards. Currently he can’t speak, eat or drink.

Oh, but he can still write. The man can write. Take ten minutes and read this all the way through.
